01Our guarantee
SAT scores go up by at least 100 points. ACT scores go up at least 2. If they don't, we make it right.
No minimum starting score. No fees withheld. No catches.
We've been raising scores for more than 20 years, and our students' gains run about 50% higher than the typical test prep increase. It's why we offer a guarantee, without all the conditions most programs bury in their fine print. Your student almost certainly won't need it, but if they do, it's there.
02What our classes include
Unlimited refreshers. Students can retake any group class, or any session of a class, as many times as they want, at no additional cost. Different schedules, different locations, mix and match - whatever works for you.
Free weekend tutorials. Students in our standard classes have access to our optional weekend tutorials. Need to make something up, having trouble, or just want to go over a practice test? Let us know.
Free practice tests. Proctored and scored, useful for setting a baseline before classes start and for checking in along the way.
Discounted private tutoring. Current and former class students who want one-on-one help get a reduced rate.
03What we don't do
Most test prep companies advertise some version of a score guarantee. Read the fine print, and there's almost always a catch - usually one that disqualifies most students before they sit down for the first class. Here's why our guarantee is different:
No starting-score requirements. Some prep companies guarantee a specific score...but the guarantee only applies if a student is already close to the target. If your student is aiming for a meaningful increase, those guarantees often don't apply at all. Ours is based on improvement from wherever the student starts.
No counting any score increase as success. Some guarantees treat a single-point bump as the company's promise fulfilled. A student can spend months in a class, gain 10 points, and some companies treat that as "mission accomplished."
No re-enrollment requirement. Some programs only honor a refund if a student first re-enrolls in a second course and takes the whole thing again. We don't.
No fees withheld from refunds. Some "money-back" guarantees exclude course materials, registration, or processing fees, which can sometimes be several hundred dollars per student. When we refund tuition, we refund tuition.
04How it works
The guarantee applies when a student:
- Attends each class (or a makeup) on time and stays for the full session
- Completes the assigned homework before each class and has the instructor sign off in the student's log
- Attends at least one MTAT-proctored practice test
These aren't fine-print conditions designed to disqualify students; they're what makes any test prep class work. A student who skips classes and doesn't do the homework isn't going to see scores improve, here or anywhere else.
Score improvement is measured against the student's highest previous official PSAT, SAT, or ACT score. If there isn't an official score yet, an MTAT-proctored practice test taken before the class begins serves as the baseline. Practice tests from other companies aren't eligible - we can't verify the test or conditions.
If a student finishes the class and their score didn't improve as much as they hoped, let us know so we can come up with a plan to reach their target score. Families who would rather have a refund can email questions@dfwtestprep.com to start that process. Refunds are prorated against the guaranteed score and capped at the cost you paid for the class.
The guarantee applies to our standard SAT, PSAT, and ACT classes. A few short-format classes we run at partner schools aren't eligible; those programs say so up front.
